But the preparation and the racing don’t stop! 💪 Training, travelling and entering competitions continue to consume a lot of energy and resources, so any further support is a huge help to me.

My name is Orsi. I’m just like any other Orsi, or Timi, or Edit... I don’t have any superpowers, I’m not a genetic marvel... I wasn’t born to be a powerlifter... I’m average, I have an average life, an 8-hour job, a loving family, friends...

But there is something about me that isn’t average: my perseverance, my willpower, and my belief that it’s never too late to start anything, to achieve anything... I started powerlifting in 2019, by chance. I started competing in 2022, on purpose :) I was 47!

And now, as my 50th birthday approaches, a dream has come within reach: I’ll be starting the 2026 competition season in Finland at the European Masters Powerlifting Championships.

This event is not only one of the highlights of my sporting career, but also a personal milestone (I’ve worked, trained and improved a great deal over the past few years, and now here’s the chance to test myself at an international level) and proof that if we truly believe in ourselves, we are capable of starting a new chapter at any stage of life

However, taking part involves significant costs: travel, accommodation, entry fees and equipment. That is why I am celebrating my birthday this year with a fundraising campaign. If you can support me, even with a small amount, you’ll be helping me to represent myself and my country in a fitting manner – and if enough is raised, perhaps a support person can come with me, which would mean a great deal to me both personally and emotionally.
