Join the fundraising campaign for the 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, organised by the Madrid branch!

This year’s Grand Finale focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in the youngest patients. 

Paediatric gastroenterology in Poland is a specialism that faces many challenges – both in terms of diagnosing and treating digestive system diseases. The problem lies in the growing number of patients and the need for modern equipment, the use of which improves treatment outcomes, including for those patients who require surgical intervention. 

With the money raised, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation intends to purchase innovative equipment for gastrointestinal surgery, a Nathanson retractor set with an operating table mounting arm, a paediatric intraoperative endoscope, a mobile digital X-ray machine and modern operating tables.

There are also plans to purchase equipment for endoscopic gastroenterology and centres providing parenteral and enteral nutrition (including pumps for parenteral and enteral feeding), as well as equipment for gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Alongside the WOŚP Madrid team, volunteers are collecting donations in cities such as Alicante, Granada, Murcia, Seville, Palos de la Frontera, Valencia, Santiago de Compostela and on the island of Tenerife.
