Both of my parents are truck drivers—yes, my mom too. Over the past year, their health has started to decline, especially my mom’s. She’s been struggling with severe migraines, and more recently, her vision in one eye has become blurry.
You might wonder why they don’t just come back home and stop working, especially since their health makes this job increasingly dangerous. The reality is, they need the money to be able to settle back home and begin the medical treatments they require.
I’ve started saving to help them make this transition, but I can’t do it alone. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.
