Description
Dear fellow human beings
My name is Andreas, I am 51 years old and, unfortunately, have had to retire due to full incapacity for work. I am 70% severely disabled due to severe psoriasis affecting my joints, which I have had for 28 years now, as well as Crohn’s disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease, and the associated depression. We are currently trying to manage this with immunosuppressive therapy, as numerous hospital stays in recent years have unfortunately been unsuccessful. I now only leave the house for essential reasons – to visit doctors and attend treatments – as my skin looks very bad due to the psoriasis, which doctors say is proving resistant to treatment. Until now, I have been able to manage these things using my car, built in 2003.This meant I didn’t have to use public transport to go to doctors or the supermarket, as I preferred to use the car because of my appearance and also the pain. About six weeks ago, unfortunately, the engine broke down, and the repair costs far exceeded both the value of the car and my financial means. So, sadly, it had to be scrapped. The situation is that I cannot afford to buy a new or second-hand car from my own funds, as these are currently very limited because I only receive a disability pension and have had applications to the Jobcentre or other benefits agencies rejected.Unfortunately, my psoriasis affects my whole body, so I cannot use buses or trains because I do not want to expose myself to the stares of the people on them. Therefore, my only option is to use this platform in the hope of finding kind people who will enable me to regain my mobility. I am very grateful to you all, dear people.
Andreas
