The child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last year. Up to now, injections had to be given both day and night, which is exhausting for the child and others when the wand gave another alarm. Sometimes also at night for some reason the reading would go high and I would have to wake up and inject several times. The child and himself not sleeping and then getting up and going to school exhausted the child even more. But now we discussed it with the doctor and decided that the pump was the best for the child and the more stable the reading would stay. This is very important because diabetes also causes other health problems. So, I decided to do a fundraiser. Part of the money will be paid by the health insurance but the other part will have to be paid by myself.
