Description
We are not a shelter, but a link between two families.
Our mission: to support dogs as they start a new life, with kindness and respect, to give them a fresh start.
Why?
Sometimes, life changes.
A break-up, a move, incompatibility with another pet, a health issue or simply an imbalance in daily life...
Whatever the reason, there are times when a family has to part with their dog.
Our role is to offer an alternative to abandonment, but above all to the shelter: compassionate, respectful and structured support, so that the dog can navigate this transition without a sudden upheaval.
Here, everything is done with a listening ear, transparency and kindness — never judgement, but a genuine framework for the dog’s well-being.
How it works
- We assess the reasons for your decision to rehome your dog and carry out a behavioural assessment
- Your dog’s profile is added to our platform and you begin training to address any potential issues
- Your dog stays with you until we find a suitable family for him
- We arrange meetings with potential families
- Once the ideal family has been found and after receiving coaching, the family takes the dog in for a two-month trial period.
- If this period is successful, the dog officially becomes part of this new family.
- If things do not go as planned, the dog returns to its original family
A responsible andconsideredadoption.Why?
Adopting a dog is much more than just a spur-of-the-moment decision.
It is a commitment, a meeting, a story that is built step by step.
Our mission is to create lasting and respectful adoptions, ensuring that every dog finds a family suited to its emotional, physical and behavioural needs.
Every adoption is supported, supervised and monitored to ensure the dog’s well-being... and the fulfilment of its new family.
We believe that a dog isn’t simply adopted to fill a void, but to share a life, a rhythm, a relationship.
That is why we take the time to get to know our adopters, to listen to them and to guide them towards a dog that truly suits them .
Here, there are no cages or queues: the dogs stay with foster families or in their temporary homes, where they can settle in peacefully whilst they wait to meet their future family.
Behind every abandonment, there is a story. Behind every adoption, a meeting.
The project was born out of a shared desire: to offer a more humane alternative to abandonment.
We believe it is possible to help a dog change its life without uprooting it abruptly, whilst respecting both its emotions and those of its family.
Here, everything is done with kindness, understanding and transparency.
Within the Soul Protector association, there are dogs that have already been rescued – 17 in 10 years – who have been rehomed, and 6 who have remained with the association. If you would like to help us cover the costs, whether for those already saved, to save others, or to carry out the project day by day.
