Hello, my name is Eli, and together with my husband Jose and our two children, we are preparing for a major change in our lives: moving to Belgium in early 2026 in search of health, stability and a decent future.

This decision comes after years of hard work, pain and resilience.

✨Our story

Our eldest son, Julen, has been through some very difficult times since he was five. For three years, he suffered such severe bullying at school that it led to hallucinations, attempts at self-harm and intensive psychological and psychiatric treatment. We managed to transfer him to a different school outside the official term thanks to the support of Badalona City Council. Today, after a lot of hard work and love, Julen is finishing secondary school and has been given the all-clear by doctors. But the journey has left its mark on the whole family.

My husband, Jose, has been working for 18 years at a company where he has reached a state of extreme mental exhaustion (burnout). He has been on sick leave for over a year due to depression, and will soon have to return to work. Just thinking about it overwhelms him with anxiety.

I, Eli, am currently unemployed. Despite having two intermediate vocational qualifications, I find it impossible to find a stable job. And yet, I continue to learn, search and create — I have a small craft project called El Mundo de Eli Creativa, through which I dream of being able to contribute something to our economy.

✨ Why Belgium?

After years of struggle, we believe that starting from scratch in another country might give us back the peace we so desperately need. In Belgium, I have a potential job opportunity starting in January 2026, and there are also more resources for mental and social health, both for Jose and for our children. We want to give them a peaceful childhood and a healthy environment.

✨ What will the funds be used for?

This crowdfunding campaign aims to help us cover the initial relocation costs, as we currently do not have sufficient income to cover them:
