Description
Hi, my name’s Tina and I never expected any of this!!!
Sorry, but life just kind of overwhelms you all of a sudden. I was diagnosed with COPD Stage III Gold during my second pregnancy. I’m a carpenter and metalworker – no, I was. And I loved working. I spent a lot of time on building sites for the company and at events at the weekends. Town festivals – setting up and taking down. Christmas markets – setting up and taking down.
And the rest of the time I was a mum, with Granny and Mum in the background to help out. Of course, things got worse and worse over the years and I had to stop working. My boys loved it when I took them to school or nursery on Thursday mornings, and they knew, ‘OK, Granny – their great-granny – will pick them up today, and Mum will come tonight and carry us to the car; it always smelled of candyfloss and sausages,’ they used to say. So when I couldn’t manage any more, Granny also fell ill; she developed dementia. Sadly, she passed away in December, and now Mum has dementia. But my mum has, unfortunately, ‘screwed up’. She’s now been committed by a judge. Because she herself didn’t want to believe what was going on. She hasn’t paid the rent, the electricity, or other important bills. And nobody knows where the money is. I’m all on my own now and have to take care of everything. But my mobility scooter has broken down. I have an Erad Agora 10 km/h. But that’s enough for shopping and visiting Mum. Could you please help me? I’m happy to provide receipts. I just need this help right now. I’ve tried to sort the rest out with social services, the local council and the landlord. I hope they’ll be patient. But I need to get mobile. My mum is all alone. No visitors!!! Please, please be so kind. Thank you
