I’m going to tell you a brief story

I bought the house in May 2025 with a government mortgage. Up to that point, everything was fine; we’d moved house and everything was going very well. Until the rains started.

When it rains, our house turns into a swimming pool – water everywhere.

It ruins the kitchen furniture, the floor, the chairs and so on.

We couldn’t sleep properly for fear of the water flooding the bedrooms again.

We discovered that we’d been deceived by the previous owner of the house. He lied to us when we asked if everything was alright.

Now we have litres and litres of water in the house; we’re already on our second hoover, because a mop, squeegee or broom just won’t cut it anymore.

Not to mention the cost of washing and drying towels. We’re using those to help us out. Even duvets and sheets – anything that can help soak up the water.

We can’t afford to replace the roof, so we need help.

We really do need help. I know it’s complicated. But we can’t live like this, and we can’t sell the house or rent another one either.
