Hi everyone!

My wife and I have been happily married here in Hungary for a year, but there is a huge void in our daily lives: my wife’s child from a previous relationship still lives in the Philippines with their grandparents.

We have done everything we can to support her from afar, but we have now reached the point where we have made a decision: we would like to bring her home to live with us permanently, so that she can go to school here and grow up as part of a complete family.

Unfortunately, the financial costs involved (visa applications, translations, legal fees and the exorbitantly expensive flight tickets) exceed our current means. We hate to ask, but for the sake of my little boy’s/girl’s future, we have decided to launch a fundraising campaign.

What exactly are we raising funds for?

• Visa and official documents
• Flight tickets (including for an accompanying adult)
• Initial settling-in costs/starting school

I know many people are struggling, but if you can contribute to our family reunion with just a share or a few hundred forints, we will be grateful for the rest of our lives. If anyone has experience with family reunification in the Philippines, we would also welcome any advice!
