Restoration – Saab 9-5 2.0 Turbo

Hello everyone,

This fundraiser is created with the aim of restoring our family treasure – a Saab 9-5 2.0 Turbo. This is not an emergency situation, so anyone who is able and wishes to contribute or be a part of this project is welcome.

This car has been a part of our family for three generations – it belonged to my grandfather, then my father, and now to me. I have been riding in it since childhood, and my father gifted it to me, making it very important to me. It is a truly good car that deserves a second chance.

Unfortunately, due to low wages in Slovakia, I can only afford basic repairs or repairs I can do on my own. The car needs more important restoration tasks, such as replacing the timing belt, clutch, gaskets or shock absorbers. The air conditioning doesn’t work, but there are more repairs that need to be made.

 However, the biggest issue is the rust on the rear axle and a scratch on the driver’s side caused when my father was parked in front of our house and a tractor passed by. The tractor driver did not pay for the damage, which has become an additional burden for us.

 So the goal is basically to do complete restoration creating a classic car just for weekends or road trips in general for friends and family.

It would be a great shame to leave the car like this or to sell it. Any help is appreciated, and I truly value your support. Thank you for any contribution that helps me restore the Saab to its former glory!
