Greeting,
My name is Karlo Tomić, I am 19 years old and I come from Rijeka.
Since I was 13, I've dreamed of becoming an Ironman – of crossing the finish line after a 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike ride and 42 km run, but at 16 I broke my collarbone and walked away from the sport.
I didn't give up. I've been doing calisthenics for 2 years now, and I've been running for the last 5 months. 2 months ago I ran 50 km at a pace of 5:35/km — alone, without a competition. I know I have the strength and mentality for an Ironman.
I would like to register for Ironman Hamburg 2026, but I don't have the financial means. The entry fee is around €800.
I contacted the organizers — they were touched by my story, but the rules don't allow them to participate for free.
So I'm asking you this way - if anyone can help, even with 5 or 10 euros - it would mean more to me than I can describe in words.
This is not just a race. This is a fight for my dream.
