Description
Dear Everyone. After suffering from chronic kidney disease, I received a kidney transplant in 2018. My life is full of struggle, hope for a better life, and a will to live. Not only have I survived the impossible, but I am also trying to live a new and as full a life as possible. This fundraising campaign is also a deeply moving personal account. I have been battling chronic illnesses since 2017. I had two strokes, then lost my kidneys and ended up on dialysis.
In 2018, I had a transplant and received a kidney. In 2020, I caught Covid and spent 51 days on a ventilator, in a deep coma. When I came out of it, I was completely paralysed from the neck down and had to learn everything all over again.
There was a time when I begged for death.
It’s very hard for me; I have to support myself, my rented flat and my little dog all on my own, whilst I’m ill.
