Description

Hello,

I’m Rebekka, mum to two wonderful children aged 4 and 8.

I lost my family to cancer at a young age. That made me all the happier to build my own little family with my husband. We bought our dream home in 2022.

To complete our family, we needed a third child. Everything seemed perfect.

After trying for a long time, I finally got pregnant in October 2024.

I was feeling increasingly unwell. We put this down to the pregnancy. Early on, I felt a lump. At first, this turned out to be nothing more than a cyst.

At the beginning of March 2025, a core biopsy was performed. The diagnosis was fast-growing, aggressive breast cancer.

All my worries and thoughts about the future came flooding in at once.

The carefree, ‘happy’ pregnancy was over.

We have been through many tears and consultations with doctors... The breast must be removed completely. This will take place in early April 2025.

My husband is now forced to apply for parental leave if the baby has to be delivered by caesarean section in June.

Unfortunately, we have no relatives who can support us here. Neither financially nor with their time.

The worries are growing ever greater. The fear of the operation with the baby in my womb, the planned chemo in May with the baby, the hair loss, the mortgage payments, all the costs involved, alternative treatments, a wig, getting completely well again for our three children.

We have a long road ahead of us.

We have major financial fears. Between the illness and parental leave, there won’t be much left.

That is why we are grateful for every single contribution, no matter how small. ♡
