Metro Med Association – Help Us Save Lives Before It Becomes an Emergency 🚑❤️

Not every emergency starts with sirens. Many people in Poland, especially those without a stable home or income, face life-threatening situations every day – on streets, in abandoned buildings, and during freezing winter nights.

Metro Med Association is a small team of trained medical volunteers from Silesia – a region with high social and economic challenges. It is one of Europe’s most industrial and socially challenged regions. We provide first aid, street outreach, education, and humanitarian support, all without government funding.

Our urgent goal is to acquire a fully equipped ambulance to safely and efficiently reach more people.

More about us:

We are volunteers, not a national emergency service. We do not respond to 112 (911) calls. Instead, we step in to help those who would otherwise be forgotten.

We are paramedics, medical workers, and trained first aiders. We balance full-time jobs and family life while volunteering to help vulnerable communities and reach those who would otherwise be forgotten. We do this without pay, contracts, or government funding.

What we do:

Street medical outreach 🩺

• Patrolling streets and abandoned places
• Providing first aid, basic care, and medical assessment
• Supporting people experiencing homelessness, extreme poverty, or social exclusion

Winter survival support ❄️

• Cookingand distributing hot meals and drinks
• Providing clothing, blankets, and medical supplies to those in need

First aid education 🏫

• Teaching first aid to children in schools and kindergartens
• Training volunteers from other organizations
• Raising community awareness about safety and prevention

Community & charity cooperation 🤝

• Partnering with NGOs to maximize impact
• Supporting food distributions, animal aid initiatives, and other charitable projects

Why we need an ambulance:

Currently, we rely on private non-medical cars and borrowed vehicles. This limits our reach, safety, and quality of care. A dedicated ambulance would allow us to:

• Reach more people, more often
• Provide professional on-site care
• Reinforce our credibility
• Expand our humanitarian and educational programs
• Build a more stable and reliable long-term solution for a faster response time

Funds will cover:

• A certified ambulance
• Life-saving medical equipment (oxygen, stretchers, AEDs, first aid kits)
• Training tools (manikins and teaching equipment)
• Operational costs (fuel, insurance, maintenance, and safety markings)
