Description
My name is Stanislav, I’m 48 years old, and I have two daughters: the younger one, Marie, is 11, and the older one, Adélka, is 17. Adélka is studying at a secondary school specialising in economics and tourism in Prague, and it was she who gave me the idea for a shared campervan. In her first year, the school organised a three-day trip around Europe. Adélka is in a class of 32 pupils, but unfortunately not all of them could go for financial reasons; the three-day trip cost 15,000 CZK per student (approx. 570 EUR). The students who couldn’t go stayed at school and were split into other classes, which is a shame. So I had the idea of organising a collection to buy a campervan, which would be used by the students (under the supervision of a teacher or parent, of course) for weekend trips to European cities, thereby enabling students whose parents do not have sufficient financial means to visit major European cities. The cost of a weekend stay in the campervan for one student would be around 5,000 CZK (192 EUR), i.e. a third of the cost of a trip organised by a travel agency under the school’s auspices. Students and supervising teachers/parents would, of course, take turns, and everything would be arranged in consultation with the secondary school in question. In the interests of safety and reliability, it would be advisable to purchase a new, reliable vehicle; the initial investment is, of course, high, but it is for a good cause, namely supporting our students in their study of foreign languages and their practical application in European countries. If this appeals to you, please contribute; everything will be transparent.
