Luanda will be filled with stories!

From 17 to 19 July, the ANANSE Children’s and Young People’s Literary Festival will take place — a celebration of oral tradition, literature and the arts, with a clear aim: to make our children and young people dream again.

Organised by the BISO Collective and partners, ANANSE will spread culture across various parts of the city: Lar de Nazaré, Academia BAI, IMEL and the 10th Standardised School.

These will be action-packed days of storytelling, creative workshops, cultural experiences and book donations — all designed to strengthen the imagination, knowledge and identity of the younger generations.

This year, the funds raised through the campaign will go towards renovating the children’s library at Lar Nazaré, creating a welcoming and inspiring space for hundreds of children.
