Hello

My name is Soraya and I’m 3 years old.

I’m actually a very happy girl who laughs a lot and likes to get up to mischief now and then.

Now I only have my mum; I don’t know why my dad left me and Mum on our own.

Mummy says maybe he’ll come back one day.

But I don’t think so – he’s been gone for so long!

Mum and I are always together; if Mum says she’s going out without me, I cry until she comes back quickly.

I do that because I’m scared she won’t come back.

I know Mum would never leave me, but better safe than sorry!

At night, I often hear Mum crying because she says she has lots of worries.

I think she’s crying because she misses my dad, and I miss him so much too!

But I’ve got a trick to stop Mum from being so sad.

I crawl into bed with her and give her lots and lots of kisses.

I keep doing that until Mummy starts laughing again!

Lately, though, it hasn’t been working so well because Mum has told me we have to move out of this house.

The lady who owns the house needs it for her family now, and Mummy and I don’t know where we’re supposed to live and sleep!

My mum is really scared about what will happen to me and what will become of us!

That’s why Mummy had one last hope for us.

She told me that there are also people who have a good heart and who are happy when they can help others and donate something to them.

She told me that I should believe very strongly that we’ll soon have a home of our own.

She told me that we must be very grateful for everything we receive.

And she promised me that she would never leave me alone, no matter what happens!

That’s why Mum and I are asking everyone who sees our story now for help!

So that Mum and I can have a proper home soon!
