I lost my beloved Mom who was 83 years old one month ago.. She loved this Historic almost 100 years old House of my Great Grandparents. Snow or rain she was walking around 10 kilometres carrying heavy bags from my grandparents village (arriving changing 2 buses from her town before that) to reach this house because there was no bus going there from that point...I was upset with her for doing that, because I was afraid to loose her one day that way..but she never stopped until she could not physically do it anymore...she was feeling happy and at home in this place...the place where she grow up with her grandmother and uncles after she came back from Siberia at 13 years old alone after her family deportation from their home in Lithuania..the house was a trully happy place, my uncle cooking fresh bread, singing and playing armonica and happy welcoming strangers...I feel the duty to my beloved Mom and ancestors to restore and preserve this place. As a first step, yesterday we cleaned the house, which had an immense amount of mess after somebody repeatedly was looking there for treasures..and I could not stop admiring it's beauty..It would be an immense honor to be able to restore this gem and preserve for a future generations.
