As the director of the Walzin Medical Centre, I am working with our team on an AI-powered dermatology app; our project is called Dermowhat.

Our aim isto help patients understand their skin problems better, more quickly and more easily. Using AI, the app analyses a questionnaire and the images you send it to suggest a diagnosis and treatment

At present, the app is still in the testing phase. It is progressing step by step, but there is still much to be done before it can truly help as many people as possible.

In addition to the app, we are also creating a free, informative website, accessible to everyone. It will offer:

• a comprehensive database of skin conditions,
• explanatory medical photos and associated treatments,
• verified advice on skin health,
• a peer support forum for patients,
• and, where possible, advice and content written or approved by dermatologists.

Developing a high-quality medical app and website requires a great deal of time, expertise and resources. We started this project on our own, but given the workload, we had to call on a team of expertsto see it through.

Your support will enable us to improve the AI, add access to a dermatologist, offer multiple languages and expand the image database, whilst ensuring data security and compliance with the GDPR.
