We have saved thousands from hunger. Now it could all disappear – unless YOU save us.

My name is Ania Kłos, and I’m the founder of Kwitnący Dom (The Blooming House) in Warsaw, Poland – a place where no one has to prove they deserve help.

Unlike many institutions, we open our doors first – for those too exhausted to ask – and only then come the forms and procedures.

But today, I am the one asking you for help. Because we are on the verge of disappearing from Warsaw’s map of support and solidarity.

Our foundation has existed for over 20 years, but this specific project – first as Mother’s House, and now as Kwitnący Dom – has been running for the past three.

We’ve had private donors, public funds, and implemented various grant-funded initiatives.

Today, we rescue food from being wasted – around 150 pickups per month – and just last week, we helped 827 people avoid hunger.

After dozens of rejected grant applications and months of talks with institutions and companies, we heard the final "no": “There will be no funds for you this time.” But we can’t wait any longer.

We urgently need funding to cover rent, utilities, and salaries for four staff members who:

– Coordinate food for over 2,300 people monthly (June 2025)

– Manage hundreds of volunteers, who donated 1,500 hours in June alone

– Receive and sort donations from over 140 individuals in just one month

If we don’t raise the funds, the food we receive will go to waste, and those in need will walk away with nothing. And we… will have to close our doors forever.

But if we succeed, these funds will help us survive the coming months – and keep helping others.

Who are the people we help? They’re not "problems."

They’re your neighbors, coworkers, and relatives – just going through a harder time:

What do we do?

💓 We rescue food and give it to over 800 registered families

💓 We distribute EU-funded food aid packages – up to dozens of kilograms per family

💓 Our "Dream-Filled Christmas Trees" campaign provided gifts to nearly 3,500 children in 2024

💓 We collect and redistribute clothing, toys, and household items – with 6,000 local beneficiaries and 2,300 more in our Garwolin partner center

💓 We run a free secondhand store receiving 5–6 tons of clothes monthly

💓 We run a free online shop for NGOs and public institutions to order new items (like shoes) for their clients

💓 We provide hygiene products for women and children, helping combat period poverty for thousands of women in the Warsaw region

💓 We distribute maternity starter kits for pregnant women and new mothers, in collaboration with Dwie Kreski

💓 We are now launching food deliveries for homebound seniors and people with disabilities

– dozens of public institutions

– and thousands of beneficiaries… many of whom now help with us
