Help me get my drivers license and a car for a job
Description
A Journey of Struggles and Hope
When I was 15, my father walked out on my mother and me, leaving a hole in our lives that I’ve been trying to fill ever since. My mother, overwhelmed by the weight of it all, turned to alcohol. Overnight, I went from being a teenager with dreams to being the only one keeping our fragile household together.
I started working to make ends meet—picking up any job I could find. School became secondary to survival. I juggled shifts, paid bills, and tried to keep food on the table. But no matter how much I worked, it was never enough. Watching my mother slip further away into her addiction, I felt powerless.
Now, years later, not much has changed. I’m 29, still trying to hold everything together for my family. But the lack of a driver’s license and a car has been a constant barrier. Without transportation, jobs that could help me build a better life seem out of reach. Interviews are hard to get to, and opportunities slip by because I can’t simply get where I need to be.
I’ve always been willing to work hard—I’ve proven that since I was 15. But the weight of responsibility, my lack of resources, and the struggles of my past have made it difficult to move forward. I’m asking for help, not because I want a handout, but because I need a chance.
I’m raising funds to get my driver’s license, take lessons, and eventually get a car. This isn’t just about transportation—it’s about giving me the tools to build a better future for myself and my family. Your support would mean the world to me. It’s a chance to finally move forward, break free of the cycle I’ve been stuck in, and create a life where I can provide stability and hope.
Thank you for listening to my story and for helping me take this critical step.
