Today, I write to you with hope and trust that together we can change the life of a struggling family in need of our support to live in dignified conditions.

Small introduction about the family👪

This is a family from my neighborhood. I first met them a few years ago when a young boy greeted me in front of my house while trying to save a kitten. Since then, every time we see each other, he welcomes me with a big, sincere smile. I was deeply moved by this child’s spirit—despite facing hardships from a very young age, he has remained warm, kind, and full of hope.

Last year, on my way home from work, I saw him alone and sad, even though he should have been in school. That’s when I found out that he could no longer attend classes due to a lack of resources, even though he desperately wanted to continue. Together with a group of caring people, we managed to support him so he could go back to school – and he’s been attending with joy since the beginning of the year. Thanks to his good results, we also helped him pursue his dream of playing football.

Unfortunately, the family’s living conditions are extremely difficult. They’ve been without electricity for a long time, and in winter, they heat their home by burning found wood or even broken furniture, during nights with temperatures dropping to -10°C (14°F). The boy’s sister also has two children of her own, but she cannot live in the same house due to the lack of electricity and poor living conditions. The father passed away last year, the mother works whenever she can, but due to her limited education, she struggles to find steady employment. The grandmother works as a cleaning lady in a few apartment buildings, but she is elderly and overwhelmed by the challenges.

This is where we step in.🙏

We are not an organization or a charity. We’re just ordinary people, trying to do something good. As neighbors and members of the same community, we believe that helping each other is what makes us stronger. This is a grassroots effort — built on trust, kindness, and the desire to bring real change where it’s most needed.

What are we aiming to do?👀

I wish I could say exactly how much everything will cost, but I don’t have full insight into all the repairs and services just yet. That’s why I plan to take this step by step — starting with the most urgent needs like reconnecting electricity and cleaning the home. Every donation will go directly toward improving the living conditions of this family, and I’ll keep everyone updated along the way.

Here are the main goals we want to achieve together:

·        Pay the overdue electricity bills and reconnect the home to the power grid (approx. €2,500)

·         Deep clean and declutter the house by removing items accumulated over many years

·         Hire a professional service to clean and restore the water well, giving the family access to clean drinking water again

·        Begin home renovations:

• Thermal insulation of the house to retain heat

• Interior repairs (walls, doors, windows)

• Add essential furniture pieces for basic comfort
