I’ve recently set up ‘Tigrotto’s Room’ in my home – it’s a place of peace and love. It’s not a clinic, nor is it a cat shelter: it’s a natural haven, where cats can find comfort or pass away peacefully, finally feeling loved.

🌿 La Stanza di Tigrotto – The First Natural Sanctuary for Special Cats

In the heart of a home full of love, a special project has been born, designed for those cats that nobody wants to look after anymore, for those considered ‘hopeless’, but also for healthy cats who need a safe place where they can be cared for with kindness.

Tigrotto’s Room is the first natural sanctuary dedicated to:

• Terminally ill or seriously ill cats, cared for on a pay-what-you-can basis, to give them one last chance with a gentle, naturopathic and respectful approach.

I believe that every life should be accompanied with respect, dignity and tenderness, even as it nears its end.

I offer love and plenty of human warmth, so that even the final hour is filled with presence, caresses and peace.

The animals who pass away at the sanctuary will do so surrounded by love, not alone, feeling welcomed right up to their last breath.

This is the beginning. La Stanza di Tigrotto is a seed. I dream of one day being able to build a real Natural Sanctuary for Special Cats.

🌿 About me

I am not a vet: I do not make diagnoses, I do not administer medication and I never intervene medically. I am a Naturopath, a Wellbeing and Nutrition Consultant, a Holistic Practitioner and I also specialise in Holistic Wellbeing for animals, supporting them in a way that respects their natural and emotional needs.

I use gentle, natural treatments that can support their physical and mental wellbeing in an integrated way:

• 🍀 Herbal and natural products
• 🌼 Essential oils (used with care and only those safe for cats)
• 💧 Natural remedies

💔 How this project came about

It all began with Tigrotto, a seriously ill cat who was entrusted to me for temporary fostering, with the aim of nursing him back to health and then finding him a new home.

I looked after him day and night with love and natural remedies. He couldn’t walk, he couldn’t eat on his own, but day by day he let himself go with life… and then with death, in my arms, filled with my love.

🕯️ The most precious thing of all is knowing that even those who don’t make it die loved, in the warmth of a family, with a gentle stroke and a soft voice by their side – things that many of them have never known.

That is why, in the future, with the funds, I will be able to set up the shelter and help as many animals as possible.

🤲 How “La Stanza di Tigrotto” works

• The cats are taken in by me on a temporary basis, in agreement with their owners or volunteers, to be supported through their recovery or, when there is nothing more that can be done, to be accompanied with love.
• For those who recover, I will facilitate responsible adoption through my social media channels and volunteers.
• The project is not commercial but is driven by a spirit of solidarity and compassion.

I need funds to set up the room, for food, litter, bedding, blankets and bowls

And this experience is driving me to seek out people and funds that can help me realise the shelter ‘Il rifugio di Tigrotto’ by purchasing a plot of land and creating the animal sanctuary.
