Let's make Mailspring even better together: open source plugins for you!

Hello! Great to have you here.

Do you enjoy using Mailspring as much as I do? The client is fast, elegant and makes the daily email chaos a whole lot more bearable. But as is often the case with open source projects, there's always that one feature you sorely miss, or an idea that would make your workflow even smoother.

This is exactly where my project comes in. I want to invest time and energy in developing high-quality open source plugins for Mailspring – and for that, I need your support.

What is the goal?

My goal is to enhance the Mailspring experience for all of us. Instead of building closed tools, all results flow directly back into the community.

For you, this means:

- More functionality: Whether improved productivity tools, new integrations or smart automations.

- Open source for everyone: The code will be completely open source so that everyone can benefit from it and build on it.

- Sustainable maintenance: With your support, I can ensure that the plugins are not only released, but also maintained and adapted to new Mailspring updates.

What will the money be used for?

Software development takes time – and time is unfortunately the only resource that cannot be downloaded. Your donation will allow me to reserve fixed blocks of hours per week that are exclusively dedicated to plugin development.

Your donation will finance:

The conception and design of new features.

Clean programming and testing of the code.

Documentation so that you can install the plugins with ease.

In short:

You're not just investing in code, but in a better tool for your everyday digital life.

Every contribution – no matter how small – helps to make Mailspring a little bit more powerful. Let's show what the open source community can achieve!

The first plugin I want to implement is a Google Calendar plugin, followed by support for Exchange Calendar and CalDAV.

Thank you very much for your support!

Making Mailspring Even Better Together: Open Source Plugins for You!

Hi there! It's great to have you here.

Do you enjoy using Mailspring as much as I do? The client is fast, elegant, and makes the daily email chaos so much more manageable. But as is often the case with open-source projects, there’s always that one feature you’re painfully missing, or an idea that would make your workflow just a little bit smoother.

That is exactly where my project comes in. I want to dedicate focused time and energy to developing high-quality open-source plugins for Mailspringandfor that, I need your support.

What is the goal?

My goal is to enhance the Mailspring experience for all of us. Instead of building closed-source tools, all results will flow directly back into the community.

This means for you:

  • More functionality: Whether it's improved productivity tools, new integrations, or smart automations.
  • Open Source for Everyone: The code will be completely open-source, so anyone can benefit from it and build upon it.
  • Sustainable Maintenance: With your support, I can ensure that these plugins are not just released, but also maintained and updated to stay compatible with future Mailspring versions.

What will the funds be used for?

Software development takes time—and unfortunately, time is the only resource you can't just download. Your contribution allows me to reserve dedicated weekly time blocks exclusively for Mailspring plugin development.

By supporting this project, you are funding:

  1. The concept and design of new features.
  2. Clean coding and thorough testing.
  3. Comprehensive documentation, so you can install and use the plugins with ease.

Our Roadmap

The first project I want to tackle is a Google Calendar plugin. Following that, I plan to implement support for Exchange Calendars and CalDAV.

In short:

You aren't just investing in code; you're investing in a better tool for your digital everyday life. Every contribution—no matter how small—helps make Mailspring a little more powerful. Let's show what the open-source community can achieve together!
