Mi Amor - A City in Bloom

In a city that never stops moving, what if you found a moment that did?

Mi Amor – A City in Bloom is a public art installation transforming everyday corners of Vienna into quiet, unexpected sanctuaries.

In old phone booths, restaurants, cafés, and hidden city spaces, you’ll find rooms and corners filled oversized poppy seed flowers — created by artist Alicia Nowak. Each flower marks a space of stillness, a soft invitation to pause and feel.

As you step inside, a song begins.

“Mi Amor,” the debut track by Mexican-Austrian singer Tamara Flores, plays through small speakers, QR codes, or by the push of a button — filling the space with intimacy, and warmth.

This is not a concert. It’s a feeling. A private moment between you and the city.

Why we’re doing this //

We believe in quiet beauty. In art you stumble upon by accident. In music that finds you when you need it.

When Alicia first created the flower room as part of her exhibition in an abandoned building, it became something more than art. People arrived quietly, often even confused and unsure of what to expect. After being taken up eleven flights of stairs in sheer darkness and asked to close their eyes, they listened, they opened up and, felt truly present. The exhibition and that particular room offered something rare and raw: a space that asked for nothing and gave you a moment to breathe.

With Mi Amor, we’re bringing that feeling into the open — across Vienna, for everyone.

Tamara’s song is a heartfelt message — a cry for healing and hope. This project shares it with the city, not on grand stages, but in small, quiet places where it can be truly felt.

What your support will help us do //

We’re creating this independently, with care and love — but we need your help to bring it fully to life.

Your support will help us:

• Handcraft over 100 large-scale paper poppy flower sculptures
• Share music through speakers, QR codes, or sound buttons
• Install the flowers across Vienna in public and semi-public spaces
• Document the installation to share it beyond the city
• Cover materials, print costs, transport, and permissions
• Create a digital map so anyone can discover the spaces

Stretch Goal //

If we exceed our initial goal, we’ll expand to more locations, include better sound quality, and host a small intimate concert to celebrate this project.
