Hello, my name is Tareco and I'm a kitten rescued from the street who is very loved, happy and playful but who needs very urgent surgery to prevent kidney failure.

I'll tell you a bit about my story. My family found me on the street when I was still a young kitten, they took me home and look after me with a lot of love.

About three years ago I was diagnosed with obstructive kidney disease and underwent surgery on my left kidney (which cost 1872.04€) to place a sub, a system with a nephrostomy tube and a cystostomy tube, which are basically little tubes that do the work of the ureters and connect the kidney to the bladder.

My family includes four other kittens rescued from the street. My sister Nocas has liver problems and my brother Neco, at the end of 2022, needed the same surgery as me, but on both kidneys (cost: 3337.13€). Fortunately, everything has been fine with him.

These subs, both mine and Neco's, require maintenance/cleaning every 4 months at the most, which results in an expense of around €500 every 4 months for my family.

During my first surgery, I didn't react very well to the cystostomy tube they put in me, I had a lot of pain and discomfort when I urinated and I had to go to the litter tray a lot.

My family made a huge effort to get me to change my cystostomy tube and at the beginning of this year I had another operation (cost: €796.78). This time I felt much better, I don't have any more pain and I play a lot more, but unfortunately I had a complication. The two tubes I have are calcifying and one of them is already completely blocked, which will eventually lead to my kidney failing if they aren't replaced quickly.

My family are doing what they can to make sure I'm okay, but right now they need help to get me to have the new surgery, which will cost around €2,000.
