United for Mateus’s Future

Mateus is a boy who was born at 36 weeks and 6 days, following a difficult and emergency delivery. Mateus needed help when he was born, resulting in hypoxic-ischaemic cerebral palsy, epilepsy and recessive myotonia (caused by a genetic mutation in the RYR1 gene and startle syndrome). Since then, he has faced countless challenges on a daily basis. I am his mother and I am seeking support so that he can continue to receive the therapies essential to his development.

Mateus currently undergoes physiotherapy, occupational therapy and the Padovan Method. However, the monthly costs are around €1,000, which are very difficult to cover, and we have not yet been able to start speech therapy.

These therapies are vital for stimulating his development, promoting his independence and giving him a better quality of life. Every small step forward is a huge achievement.

All donations will be used exclusively to fund Mateus’s therapies and treatments.
