Hello, we’re a married couple with a daughter. I’m unemployed and have a physical disability; we have a young daughter, and my husband is on the €1,000 benefit scheme. At the moment, we have both lost many of our teeth. And with a rent of €430 to pay, we are left with just enough to eat, and we hope that no breakdowns or problems arise, because dealing with them is practically impossible. Given the cost of dental care these days, it is impossible for us to get even a set of dentures so we can eat properly; I haven’t been able to eat anything even semi-hard for years. As for my digestion, I’ve ended up having surgery on my gallbladder and bile duct because of this ongoing problem. And please, I’m asking for help. I’ve set a target of €6,000 because that would cover both of our teeth completely, including fillings, root canal treatments, scaling, and the dentures themselves. I’m not asking for a smile makeover, I don’t want implants, I just want to be able to eat and digest food properly. No one will hire me, and with three of us on a €1,000-a-month wage and no benefits, I can’t afford to go; for us it’s a luxury, even though it’s a health issue, but I’m truly desperate. It’s 3.28 am and, not knowing what else to do, I searched online and found this page as a result of my desperation.
