I am writing this text even though it makes me very uncomfortable, because I don't know what to do and we urgently need help.

After nine long months, my husband has finally received approval for family reunification and is allowed to come to us in Vienna. This time has been incredibly difficult for us. We have been living in uncertainty for months, with fear and constant back and forth between authorities, documents and hope.

My husband cannot return to Chechnya. He is wanted there, and returning is not an option for him. His situation is serious and stressful. Now he finally has the opportunity to legally join his family in Vienna – but we don't have the money to do so.

He no longer has any money to pay for his current flat. He has no money for new accommodation or for the journey. All our savings have been used up. Family and friends have already supported us, but now they too are financially exhausted. We are all in a difficult financial situation.

I am alone with our little child, who is just 17 months old. A child needs his father. A family belongs together. We have been fighting for nine months to be reunited. Now that it is finally possible, we must not fail because of a lack of money.

We are asking for support in the amount of 1,500 euros so that my husband can travel to Vienna and we can finally live together as a family. Every contribution helps us to close this chapter and start a new one.
