Description
I was made redundant a few months ago without cause (while still on my probationary period) and am now on income support.
Two years ago, I bought a small cottage where I would like to live with my two daughters. It cost €20,000, and I took out a consumer loan to buy the property.
I am currently 38 years old and have been living with my parents for the past year and a half (thank goodness I’m not on the streets), but my daughter sleeps in the living room.
It is financially impossible for me to continue the renovation work or even apply for social housing.
So you might think I should just sell it, but as a single mother I’ve built it all with my own two hands… I started the renovation with blood, sweat and tears, putting all my savings and heart and soul into it.
Perhaps I have no other option, but I’m making one last attempt to save my project.
