Description
Hello everyone!
We are a family with two wonderful little girls. Our story began in December 2014. I was 26, from Sicily, and unsure of what to do with my life. He was five years older than me, a sailor from Puglia. Seven months later, I fell pregnant with our first daughter. We weren’t prepared; we were in a long-distance relationship, but we rolled up our sleeves, rented a house in Sicily and started planning our life together. As soon as Greta was born, I looked for a job, which fortunately came along: a decent, respectable permanent position as an administrative assistant. This helped my partner to request a transfer. So, over the course of the first two years, we invested everything in buying a house. As we had never been able to count on financial help from our families, we made no small number of sacrifices. Three years later, I became pregnant with our second daughter, Giorgia. After no small amount of bureaucratic hassle, we managed to secure my partner’s permanent transfer. Life comes at a considerable cost, and this is clear to all of us. As we are both employed, we live on our salaries, for which I am always grateful, because there are those who do not have this and certainly have other, more pressing concerns. We can’t complain; we have our own home, two stable jobs and two healthy daughters. But we’re barely scraping by at the end of the month. We’d love to get married and live our dream, but our daughters are our priority, so we can’t set any money aside, let alone think of spending it on ourselves rather than on them. There are so many people who don’t spend their lives hunting for bargains or wondering whether they can afford a pizza out that month, so I’m asking if you’d like to help make this small but significant dream come true ❤️
