My name is Alex, and Riley is a 9-month-old German Shepherd mix puppy who is more than just a companion to me - he is my soul mate. Unfortunately, Riley suffers from a serious hip problem, diagnosed as hip dysplasia, which affects his mobility and causes him pain. The only solution to give him a normal life is surgery called Total Pelvic Osteotomy (TPO).

TPO is a complex and specialised surgery to reshape the hip joint. The procedure involves realigning the acetabulum (the part of the pelvis where the hip joint is located) to provide better support and stability to the femoral head. This significantly reduces pain and prevents the progression of more serious problems such as severe arthritis.

The doctor advised us to intervene as soon as possible, ideally by the time Riley is 10-11 months old, so that the hips can develop properly after surgery.

The cost of the operation is way beyond what I can afford and the time is extremely short. I have already run up debts trying to provide the best medical care for him, and any contribution, no matter how small, would bring us closer to Riley's chance to live a happy and pain-free life.
