"Barrier-free playground"

Badhaus Leogang has been a non-profit organisation for over 11 years. With our activities, people with disabilities and those seeking help in a wide variety of situations are individually accompanied and supported - as barrier-free as possible.

The fact that the services can be organised in this way and that marginalised groups and people seeking help can be supported to this extent is thanks to the charitable fund "Leben lieben im Liebe leben" (loving life in love), which is part of the house (in accordance with the Salzburg Provincial Foundation and Fund Act) and has been awarded the donation seal of approval and donation deductibility.

The main focus at present is the construction of a barrier-free playground, for which the first construction phase was already completed in winter 2023 (expansion of the site, backfilling with reinforced earth, excavation and backfilling of the path for the barrier-free tree house, etc.).

The special thing about this playground is that ALL children have the opportunity to play together - regardless of their physical abilities.

The play equipment built in the first stage (a 7m diameter tree house with a wheelchair path, two accessible raised beds, two pavilions with seating and lounging areas) was planned, built and delivered by the students at the Kuchl Wood Technology School - the joint process with our staff, users and the students at HT Kuchl was fantastic and not only opened up new perspectives for the students.

Current status: On 10 June 2024, the foundations were laid for the correspondingly large area and the tree house was erected. What is still missing is the completion of the roof before the start of winter, a fence, two foundations and the work to erect the last 2 pavilions.
