dear friends, mates, acquaintances, family members,.

as many of you know, i have moved to beautiful warm sunny tenerife.

but so i want to start my own project here in the hospitality sector, a slightly quieter job than in the construction sector because my body can't keep up so well anymore.

the idea is that i would buy the fallow land across from our flat and would like to set up a container bar there, as well as a small container for stocking as well as one for toilets. the reason why a container bar is because we have an abundance of passing tourists here on racing bikes, motorbikes and by car who are all heading towards the teide nature reserve, towards masca, etc.. there are a few local cafes here but the tourists are reluctant to stop to have a drink or a meal with them, which is why I like to call it La Tourista, a belgian flag,dutch flag,french flag,english flag and spanish flag will also hang so that the tourists can clearly see that several languages are spoken there. I would also give bicycle tourists the possibility of having a small place where they can store their bicycles and hang them to check their bikes, pump up the tyres, etc.

The land would cost about 2500 euros, the container bar about 3500 and the 2 small containers 1500 each, plus some furnishing of the area such as a wooden fence, a bicycle rack, tables and chairs, but we can make that with wooden pallets in the beginning so that's not a problem. The area itself has a beautiful view of the mountains, the sea, the island of La Gomera, and in the evening the sunset is beautiful to watch.

Because the standard of living and working wages are much lower than in Belgium, it would take a very long time for me to be able to save an amount of money, and the intention is to be able to start up within six months as the number of tourists is increasing.

Of course, all people who would like to sponsor me are always welcome for a drink and a bite to eat at the company's expense as a thank-you or if there is something else we can do for each other, please let me know.
