They wear torn clothes, go barefoot, without protection – at the mercy of harsh reality.

Everything that we take for granted is denied to them.

We live in abundance.

We have electricity at the touch of a button.

We reach for our smartphones, open the fridge, order food with a click.

We enjoy medical care, education, security.

And we fly to countries like Zambia to enjoy cheap holidays – while the people there barely have enough to live on.

Why?

Because we were lucky enough to be born into prosperity.

Because we had the opportunity to flee or find help – but they did not.

In Zambia, people struggle every day just to survive.

Against viruses, bacteria, natural disasters, hunger, cold, thirst.

Against being forgotten.

We can no longer look away:

These people not only need our help – they deserve it.

They deserve a life of dignity, with hope, education, electricity, food, water – like every person in this world.
