Meet Dana -

My name is Dana Nasser Okal, and I am from the northern Gaza Strip.

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for me and my family during these devastating times. Our lives have been torn apart by war and hardship.

My father suffers from severe heart disease. My brother was injured in the war and lost sight in his left eye. My other brother lives with hemiplegia and visual impairment. Our home was bombed - we have no shelter, no stability, and no safety.

At just 20 years old, I carry responsibilities far beyond my years. I fetch water, gather food, and do everything I can to keep my family going. While others my age are studying in universities, I am unable to pursue my dream of education. I finished my high school exams with hope, but I cannot afford university fees. Education means everything to me, but poverty and war have stood in the way of my future.

I am asking for help not only for myself, but for my family - so my father can receive treatment, my brothers can have care, and I can finally continue my studies.
