Dear friends, donors and technology enthusiasts,

We are the Croatian Robotics Team (Team Croatia 2026) . For the first time in the history of our country, our team is not made up of just one school or association. We have united the blue Istria and the green continent – the best young programmers, engineers and innovators from the "Pozitron" Center (Poreč) and the "NET" Information Club (Ivanić-Grad) under the umbrella of the Croatian Robotics Association (HROBOS) .

This exceptional team of high school students and their mentors has a big mission: to represent the Republic of Croatia at the prestigious World Robotics Championship FIRST Global Challenge 2026 , which is being held in October in Incheon, South Korea, in competition with more than 190 countries.

To succeed in this and bring world gold to Croatia again, we need your support.

1. Our challenge this year: Fighting forest fires 🌲🔥

The theme of this year's world championship is "Igniting Innovation" and is fully dedicated to the prevention, early detection and suppression of catastrophic forest fires using robotics and new technologies.

For our country, and especially for the Adriatic and continental regions that suffer enormous damage from fires every year, this is a topic of exceptional ecological and safety importance. Under the leadership of our students, and in close cooperation with local fire departments, our team is developing a real and applicable innovative technological project for early fire detection . Our students are not just solving a theoretical task in a closed arena; they are creating real solutions for the protection of our nature.

2. Why do we need your help? ✈️🛠️

Working in a mixed national team brings us top-quality teams, but also huge logistical challenges. Our members live 250 kilometers apart. In order to provide them with top-notch working conditions, we organize intensive summer camps (including one in August at the Kontija Scientific and Educational Center), but the costs of equipment and travel are beyond our means.

The funds raised from this campaign will be used exclusively for:

• ✈️ Airfare and accommodation: Travel and stay of our sixteen-member delegation (students and mentors) in South Korea.
• 📦 Equipment Transport (Cargo): Safe air transport of a sensitive and heavy robot and engineering tools to Incheon.
• 🛠️ Procurement of necessary parts: Purchase of advanced sensors, motors and materials for the construction and improvement of the robotic system.
• ⛺ Training camp logistics: Covering the costs of accommodation and meals for students during intensive summer preparations.
