Hi everyone! I’m Barbara, mum to two lovely little girls.

I’m battling a serious form of cancer, which means I’m currently undergoing ongoing and gruelling treatment (including targeted biological therapy, and I’ll soon be admitted to hospital for radioisotope treatment). As a mother, the hardest thing is seeing how much this uncertainty is taking its toll on my little girls.

​Due to my illness and the lengthy treatments, our family’s income has fallen significantly. On top of the loss of income, the cost of regular medication, a specialised diet, travel expenses to hospital and the burden of day-to-day living are completely eating into our savings.

​Unfortunately, even paying our monthly bills, covering our day-to-day living costs and the additional expenses associated with treatments is a huge burden for us given our limited financial resources. My partner and I are doing everything we can, but we are finding it very difficult to cope with the financial pressure on our own.

​That is why I am turning to you with complete humility and an open heart: please, if you can, help us get through this difficult time! We will use your support to cover our day-to-day living expenses, our little girls’ care and the costs of my treatment, so that my family can be safe and I can focus on my recovery.
