Hi, I’m Skye, a special dog looking for help! 🐾

I’m a mixed-breed dog and I have a heart full of love, despite a difficult past. I was abandoned when I was younger, and that left me very afraid of people. Luckily, I found my human, who has done everything they can to look after me and give me a new life full of love and protection.

But now I’m facing a major health challenge: I have cataracts in my eyes, which are impairing my vision. This makes me even more scared, because it’s already hard enough to trust the world around me. My vision is essential for me to continue exploring the world safely and happily.

The problem is that the insurance doesn’t cover the surgery needed to correct the cataracts. They claimed that, as I was abandoned before being rescued, this is considered a ‘pre-existing condition’. It’s not fair, but my human and I aren’t giving up!

The surgery and treatment cost around €3,000, an amount my human cannot afford on their own. This covers the pre-operative tests, the surgery itself and the medical follow-up needed to ensure I make a full recovery.

That’s why we’re asking for your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to my life.
