Description
Hello! My name is Veronica Lachana. I come from the Black Sea region, specifically from Surmene and Trebizond in Pontus, and I was born in Athens. A year ago, I decided to write a play based on the Pontic Greek Genocide, a historical event that has marked many generations — including my own ancestors. The play was first performed on 19 May (the day of remembrance for the Pontic Genocide), as part of an event organised by a local cultural association.
Our aim is to bring this story to life:
👉 both theatrically, through a performance,
👉 as well as cinematically, through a short film — so that the message of humanity conveyed by the work reaches even more people.
We know that times are tough; nevertheless, the human soul thirsts for culture and quality storytelling.
We need your help to bring this story to the public!
Every donation will directly contribute to the best possible production.
Thank you very much in advance for your support!
