Description
The weather conditions observed in the country last summer put the fire services to a severe test. The prolonged drought led to an increase in the frequency of fires in forest and agricultural areas, located in regions that are difficult for firefighting equipment to access.
This has motivated us, the Petrich Regional Council, in collaboration with Petrich Municipality, to launch an initiative to purchase a fire-fighting system with a long range of action in rough terrain and hilly areas with significant elevation changes, where currently only hand-held mechanised tools are used, which are less effective. The initiative has been agreed with the Regional Fire Safety and Civil Protection Service – Petrich.
