To create a first aid centre with ambulance in Lesvos greece
Description
Fundraising in order to establish a fully equipped and suitably staffed first aid centre with its own ambulance on the Greek island of Lesvos in the northern part of the island.
Current emergency provisions are inadequate and particularly so during the busy summer due to the drastically increased population and the fact that local ambulances are very few and often require more than 40 minutes to attend an emergency in these areas.
The centre will offer emergency first aid for anything ranging from minor injuries to immediately life threatening conditions, delivered by suitably qualified staff and modern equipment.
This will be available to everyone, including visitors, tourists and the local population and the aim is to provide 24hr coverage for all emergencies.
Rhere will also be provision of transport to the nearest receiving hospital if this is necessary.
