️ Martina’s day yesterday – 09.07. ❤️Yesterday we started the day at László Hospital again. They took 13 vials of blood from Martina via the cannula. She was incredibly brave and strong, as always. ❤️
Unfortunately, the results once again brought no good news… her platelet count was just 9, which is very low. Because of this, we were referred to Heim Pál Hospital, where she received the necessary treatment.
Meanwhile, we were faced with more difficult news. In two weeks’ time, another bone marrow sample will need to be taken from Martina, as the latest results showed some abnormalities that mean the bone marrow needs to be examined again. This will be the third sample taken... 💔
Milán, Martina’s brother, hasn’t been ruled out as a donor just yet; they’re still assessing whether he might be a suitable match. Meanwhile, there are already two potential donors for Martina in Germany who are currently being assessed. This offers a glimmer of hope, but there is still a great deal of uncertainty and waiting. 🙏
The doctor told us frankly that this condition cannot be maintained for much longer simply by constantly replenishing blood cells and platelets. As well as her platelet count, Martina’s haemoglobin and white blood cell counts have also fallen.
In the case of MDS, the hope for a true cure lies in a bone marrow transplant. So now we are waiting once again… waiting for the test results, the outcome of the search for a donor, and for the moment when we can finally set out on the path to recovery. ❤️🩹
To be honest: this is very difficult for us right now. The constant travelling, the tests, the waiting, the uncertainty and yet more bad results are taking a heavy toll on us emotionally.
But Martina is still fighting. And we’re right by her side every single moment. ❤️
🙏 We’d like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support, help, shares and kind words!
We are so grateful to everyone who is standing by us during this difficult time. Your support means the world to us and gives us the strength to carry on. ❤️

❤️ Let’s work together to help our little girl return to a safe home ❤️
Dear Family, Friends, Acquaintances and Strangers!
It is with a heavy heart, but with even greater hope, that we are now turning to you.
We never imagined that the time would come when we would have to ask others for help. However, as a family, we are currently going through a period for which no one can truly be prepared.
Our little girl has fallen ill, and the past few days have completely turned our lives upside down overnight.
We have been through lengthy investigations, hospital treatments and some very difficult days. The tests revealed that our little girl has hypocellular myelodysplastic syndrome and pancytopenia. This is a serious haematological disorder, which means she requires ongoing medical monitoring, treatment and further tests.
There was a period when her platelet count and haemoglobin levels were very low, so she was given blood products. She has also undergone a bone marrow examination, and further investigations and medical treatments are ongoing.
At the moment, a large part of our lives revolves around treatments, tests and travelling.
We have to travel to Budapest twice a week, which in itself represents a significant additional cost. In addition, we need to set up a sterile, safe room for our little girl at home so that, when her condition allows, she can return to a suitable and as safe an environment as possible.
However, setting this up involves a great many expenses that we were unable to prepare for overnight.
Our family currently lives in rented accommodation, and in this difficult situation we are trying to support the whole family on a single income. My partner works, whilst I look after our little girl, as she is our first and foremost priority right now.
However, we don’t just have to look after our little girl. We also have a seven-year-old son who is just starting Year 1. As parents, we want to provide him with everything he needs to start school. School supplies, clothing and the other associated expenses are also a significant burden for us at this time.
So we’re trying to cope with looking after two children at once, whilst one of our children is battling a serious illness, and this situation has fundamentally changed the whole family’s life.
Any help at all would be a huge support to us right now.
We would like to use the funds raised primarily to create a safe home environment for our little girl, to cover the costs of regular trips to Budapest, and to meet other necessary expenses arising from her illness. We also want to ensure that we can provide our little boy with everything he needs to start school.
We do not wish to take anything away from anyone else that they need. We know that everyone has their own difficulties.
That is precisely why it is a huge help to us if anyone shares our story, passes it on to people who might be able to help, or simply stands by us with a kind word or some encouragement.
And if anyone is able to contribute financially to the fundraising drive, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It doesn’t matter how much you can give.
Every single contribution counts. ❤️
Right now, we want just one thing: for our little girl to have every chance of recovery, and to be able to laugh, play and live a carefree childhood once again.
Thank you to everyone who is supporting us, whether through a single share, a message, a kind word or financial help.
Thank you for being with us during this difficult time. ❤️
Even a single share can make a huge difference!
🙏❤️🎗️
Kitartást és mielőbbi gyógyulást kívánunk.
