Description

Every dream needs a place to start. For so many children, that place is the MiniCDC: a safe space where they can run, grow and work as a team. Help us protect this special place and keep it free for years to come!"

ABOUT US

CDC Volley Bologna 2.0 ASD was founded in Bologna in 2016 and has grown within the San Donato–San Vitale neighbourhood. We promote volleyball for people of all ages, from those taking their first steps in the sport to competitive and amateur players. We are affiliated with FIPAV, CSI and UISP. Over time, we have built strong ties with the neighbourhood and local schools, because we believe that sport can offer children and young people much more than just training. Volleyball is about play, fun and personal development: an opportunity to work together, follow the rules and feel part of a team. These are the very same values that guide our educational projects in schools.

Through the MiniCDC project, we want to bring this experience to even the youngest children.

THE MINICDC PROJECT

The MiniCDC project was created to give boys and girls the chance to discover volleyball through a free, educational activity open to all. We want their first encounter with this sport to be all about movement, play and making new friends. They will be guided by qualified instructors, ready to engage every child according to their abilities. Making it free is a deliberate choice: the cost of a course must not prevent a family from introducing their child to the sport.

MORE THAN JUST A MINIVOLLEY COURSE

Through MiniCDC, we aim to strengthen the bond between schools, sport and the local community. The sports hall can become a place where children grow together and families come together, building on the educational activities that the CDC already brings to schools through our ‘Sotto la Stessa Rete’ project . On the court, children learn not only how to move and play with the ball, but also how to work together, follow the rules, trust others and feel part of a team. We want every child to find their place in the game.

WHY WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP

‘Free for families’ does not mean ‘cost-free’. To support the children throughout the 2026/2027 season, we need coaches, footballs, kit, hall hire and a great deal of organisational work.

With this campaign , we are asking the community to help us raise €4,000 to cover, in part, the running costs associated with our on-pitch activities. Reaching this target will enable us to fund:

• Qualified coaches: €3 ,000 (providing excellent technical and educational guidance for the children)

• Sports kit: €500 (the kit to make every child feel part of the team)

• Balls and equipment: €200 (the essential technical equipment for training sessions)

• School activities and promotion: €300 (to raise awareness of the project locally)

The rent, the running of the sports halls, the administrative costs of the ASD, participation in events and gatherings, and many other activities will be covered in full by CDC Volley Bologna. The association will cover these significant fixed costs using its own resources and the work of volunteers.

JOIN US ON THE COURT

MiniCDC is a project we have already launched. Your contribution will help us keep it going, without asking families to pay for the course. Every donation supports a place where more children can play, make friends and discover volleyball together.

Thank you all!
