Dear Friends and Supporters of Basen Beach Bar,

On September 18, 2024 our beloved Basen Beach Bar on the Oder River was struck by a devastating flood. Despite all our efforts, much of our infrastructure was destroyed - wood rotted, the roof was damaged, and our beloved children's area was severely affected. The cost of rebuilding is rising quickly, and some of the most beautiful parts of our beach need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Our location by the river is a magical place - a sanctuary for relaxation, connection, and community culture. But with this beauty comes risk: every 15 years or so, a major flood hits. Yet, through love and dedication, we have always fought to keep Basen Beach Bar a vibrant, welcoming space filled with warmth, creativity, and community.

✨Our Story✨

Since 2017, Basen Beach Bar has been a home for music, culture, great food, and shared experiences. Our dream was to create a space where people could come together, connect, and enjoy nature. Every year, we’ve invested in improving the bar - creating accessible pathways, a family-friendly children’s zone, and beautifully designed areas that make you feel like you’re on vacation in the heart of the city.

Over the years, we’ve hosted free concerts, yoga sessions, charity events, and artistic workshops. We’re also proud to be part of several Polish and Polish-German art festivals, helping to promote creative and cultural exchange. This is more than just a business - it’s our passion and our way of contributing to the artistic and social fabric of Poland.

💔Why We Need You 🫶

The past few years have been challenging for us, as they have been for many - pandemics, inflation, rising construction and energy costs. And now, the flood.

But the hardest part? Because Wrocław has not been classified as an official disaster zone, we are receiving NO government support, NO low-interest loans, and NO insurance payouts for flood damage.

The initial emergency costs - dismantling, transportation, and storage of our equipment - have already exceeded 50,000 PLN, and we estimate the rebuilding costs to be well over 120,000 PLN. Without help, we won’t be able to rebuild Basen Beach Bar. The alternative? Drowning in unmanageable bank loans.
