The Next Step

Description

The Next Step

My name is Danils Dolganovs.

Drifting is not just a hobby for me.

It is a dream that has been living with me for years.

I started following drifting back in 2017. Every competition, every video, every battle on track made me dream about becoming a drift driver myself.

In 2018, I attended a drift school and experienced what it feels like to drive sideways for the first time.

I was hooked.

Unfortunately, life had other plans. I didn’t have my own drift car, and for years I had to put that dream on hold.

But I never stopped believing.

For years I kept following the sport, learning, watching competitions, and telling myself that one day I would return and build my own car.

In 2024, I finally got my own drift car.

It wasn’t perfect, but for the first time I had the opportunity to take real steps toward my dream.

I started training whenever I could. Not as often as I wanted, but every lap, every mistake, and every repair taught me something new.

Those first practice days were not about results.

They were about learning, improving, and proving to myself that the dream was still alive.

Step by step, training by training, I kept moving forward.

In 2025, I competed in the Norwegian Drift Championship and finished the season in 5th place overall.

That result gave me confidence to take the next step and enter the Latvian Drift Championship.

Before the season started, I rebuilt and refreshed my BMW E36 from the ground up. The car received a completely new look, a fresh wrap, and countless hours of work in the garage.

Due to budget limitations, the technical preparation wasn’t completed 100%.

Despite that, the first round of the Latvian Drift Championship exceeded all expectations.

🥈 2nd place in qualifying with 94 points.

🏁 Reached the TOP 16 battles.

🔥 Finished 9th overall out of 63 drivers.

For some people, these are just numbers.

For me, they are proof that dreams become reality when you refuse to give up.

Just one year after getting my first drift car, I found myself competing against some of the strongest drivers in Latvia and qualifying 2nd among 63 competitors.

Unfortunately, almost the entire budget was spent preparing the car for the first round.

Today, my biggest challenge is not speed.

It is finding a way to continue the season.

My goal is to raise €1250.

This amount will help me compete in the next round of the Latvian Drift Championship, which takes place in Jēkabpils on June 20–21.

The funds will help cover:

• Entry fee

• Tires

• Fuel

• Transportation

• Spare parts and maintenance

€1250 = one more chance to continue fighting for my dream.

My goal is not simply to attend another event.

My goal is to become one of the strongest drift drivers in Latvia and continue moving step by step toward the highest level of European drifting.

As a thank you, every person who supports this project will have their name added to my drift car.

Your name will travel with me to future events and become a part of this journey.

There I share everything — the victories, the setbacks, the repairs, the challenges, and the reality behind every race weekend.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps me take one more step toward the next start line.

And if you can’t contribute, simply sharing this page means the world to me.

Thank you for believing in this dream.

See you in Jēkabpils.
