💔 TODAY'S ARRIVAL – HERO 💔

Sometimes we wonder how much pain an animal has to endure before anyone really notices it.😰

The first report regarding this case was submitted to the State Veterinary Administration as early as 19 September.

Since then – nothing.‼️

The days passed, and Hero remained alone. Exhausted, hungry, injured. He was fed by neighbours and people from the recycling centre, who were the only ones not to ignore his suffering.

He belonged to a socially disadvantaged family, and according to available information, the police were called repeatedly – even on Monday, when the dog, in such a serious condition, was to be returned to his owner.

It was only after the Rakovník media intervened that things finally began to happen. KVS Rakovník stated that they would not visit the site until tomorrow – that is, more than a month after the first report and only after the case had been publicised. An environmental official responded that the matter was “not within his remit”.

And so it turns out that sometimes indifference is not just found in the hands of individuals, but also where help should be a matter of course. Meanwhile, Hero was suffering – and if the people in the neighbourhood hadn’t looked after him, he probably wouldn’t have survived.

Fortunately, two brave women came forward – Kristýna Kulhánková and Klára Trubačová.🙏🩷 They saw a dog who was frightened and writhing in pain, yet they decided to act. They took fate into their own hands and saved a life that others had let fall by the wayside. Thanks to them, Hero is with us today.❤️‍🩹

When we took him in, it was immediately clear that he had suffered greatly and for a long time.😰 He has extensive burns, old fractures, festering wounds and all his legs are swollen.

He can’t even sit down... every movement hurts him; his body and soul are on the verge of collapse.😓🥺

The pain has left him with a deep-seated fear, which manifests itself as despair and defensiveness.

Hero has remained at the vet’s, where he is now fighting for his life.

A complaint will be filed against the owner for animal cruelty, because such treatment must not go unpunished.‼️

Hero is a symbol of cruelty, but also proof that humanity still exists. That even when the authorities fail, it can be an ordinary person who saves a life.
