Hi, nice to see you here!

I am Dziewanna (Devana), a singer and composer from Ustroń; I write song lyrics and poems and I am looking for magic in everyday life. If your loudspeakers often resound with folk, you are close to Slavic and fantasy creations, perhaps we have already met. If not, I encourage you to familiarize yourself with my works. I compose and perform mystical folk, inspired by the beauty of nature, native folklore, pre-Christian Slavic culture and the books about the Witcher.

In 2019, thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, I released a long-playing concept album entitled „Widziadło”, which won the first place in the nationwide plebiscite „Wirtualne Gęśle”. The album received the title of Folk Record of the Year 2019. I am a finalist of Influencers Live Awards, a nationwide competition for online creators, in the „Art” category (2021).

About the „Dreamed Gods” project

The initiative is inspired by the spirit of the past. The project includes the recording of a folk song referring to the pre-Christian Slavic culture, as well as a music video. The song is a reminiscence of the beauty of nature uncontaminated by civilization and the characters of native gods and goddesses. The text is inspired by the works of Polish poets such as Seweryn Goszczyński, Wincenty Pol, Bolesław Leśmian and Julian Tuwim. The musical setting will take you deep into sacred groves, towards murmuring streams and undiscovered wilderness. Talented guests will be invited to the recordings, which I will introduce in a while.

In order to reflect the magic of the world of our Ancestors, I would like to illustrate the song with a professional music video, in which the beauty of various corners of the native land will be captured. I will invite you on a journey to places you may not know, guaranteeing shivers at first sight. There will be elemental charm, lush green garland and the majesty of the mountains.

Why crowdfunding?

I put a lot of work and heart into each of my projects. I always try to give your senses the best possible results. These are the result of the involvement of many people: musicians, special guests, people responsible for the production of music and music videos, as well as good spirits, thanks to which we can show you the beauty of certain spaces. The costs, which are definitely higher in the era of inflation, include salaries for the music and production staff, covering the costs of transport, preparations related to costumes, make-up, etc.
