Hi everyone, I’m 49 years old and terminally ill. Unfortunately, we’re in a situation that’s difficult to resolve. We used to live on the 4th floor of a block of flats, which was becoming very difficult for me, so we decided to move and bought a house with a garden. As houses with gardens are quite expensive, we looked for one that needed renovating and was affordable for us.The renovation has started, but our financial resources are limited. Physical work is difficult for me anyway due to my illness; my partner works and is slowly renovating the house, but even buying the building materials is expensive. I have had an incurable illness for four years: a benign increase in intracranial pressure, with damage to the optic nerve, which is slowly getting worse year by year and leading to blindness. In addition, I have an immune system disorder and a blood disorder; I have difficulty absorbing minerals, vitamins and iron, and I suffer from varicose veins and clots, which also affect my muscles and joints, leading to constant inflammation.
